Clients are offered a tailored architectural & inspection service, comprising the design and/or preparation of working drawings to obtain planning permission and building regulations approval. Clients may approach us with a design that they have in mind, or we are able to create the design for them. This would be coupled with an inspection service, which would enable us to issue ‘architectural certificates’ to allow clients to obtain a mortgage. We would work with the bank or building society to enable the ‘draw down’ of funds at key stages throughout the build to allow the finances for the project to run smoothly.
Our qualifications and level of experience – architectural certificates or professional consultants’ certificates exceed the requirements by all banks and building societies. Our self build certificates are in accordance with The Council of Mortgage Lenders Handbook. The advantage of our self build package, as opposed to the more restrictive nature of NHBC or Local Authority Building Control (LABC) guarantee schemes, is that free architectural and design advice is available during the course of the build.
